Do you want to know more about a symptom? Do you want to know where to go or what to do next? We are here to help.

If you have medical questions about your mental health, or if you’re not sure whether to visit your treating GP or see a Mental Health Clinician, simply submit your questions any time and one of our Mental Health Clinicians will respond in writing within one business day. The service can be used as many times as needed.

This is not an emergency service. If you require immediate mental health support you can call Lifeline on 13 11 14 or if you are feeling suicidal or unwell, we advise you to contact your local emergency services (000 in Australia).

This service aims to support, not replace your treating doctor. If you require prescriptions or referrals, you will need to visit your treating doctor.

Our Mental Health Clinicians will also identify if you should be referred to our Mental Health Navigator program or any appropriate community services.

Who can use this service?

Available to members on any level of active health insurance cover with HIF and aged 18 years and older.

How does it work?

Your question will be submitted to one of our mental health clinicians who will respond within one business day.

  • 2 Mental Health Clinician reviews question

    We allocate one of our Australian Mental Health Clinicians to review and respond to your question.

  • 3 Get answers to your medical questions

    Our Mental Health Clinician will respond to your question in writing within one business day and you’ll be notified by email that your answers are ready for you to review in your HIF Virtual Care account.
